Kimberly Sue Shafer, 51, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018. Kimberly was born in Paris, Illinois on June 22, 1967 to William Miller and Sandra Henderson, raised by Larry Meeks and Sandra Henderson in Oakland City. She worked in trucking as a dispatcher.

Kimberly attended Wood Memorial High School in Oakland City. She enjoyed watching reality tv shows while drinking coffee, fishing, playing cards, music, cooking and animals. She was a helpful person who will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Kimberly is survived by her sons, Adam Ross (Ashley) of Evansville, IN and Brad Shafer (LeAnne) of Evansville, IN; mother, Sandra Henderson; father, Larry Meeks (Rita) of Chandler, IN; siblings, Shannon Wiseman (Scott Ham) of Evansville, IN, Jenny Miller of FL, Jeff Miller of IL, Chad Meeks (MaryAnn) of Wheatland, IN and Jeremy Meeks (Angie) of Newburgh,IN; grandchildren, Brandon, Brooklynn, Brianna, Braxton, Bethany, Lennox, Karlee, Koree and Kenidee; nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles. A celebration of Kimberly’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave.

, Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Ray Brown officiating. Friends may visit from 11:00 AM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
