Obituary for Larry Gene Quada Devoted husband, beloved father, cherished grandfather and friend of many, Larry Gene Quada, age 69, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 in Longview, Texas. Larry was born on November 14, 1948 in Linden, Texas to Charles and Irene (Dooley) Quada. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Lori Ann Quada Parrott; his brothers, Doyle Charles Quada and Buddy Lee Quada; and his sister, Linda Gail Quada Holley.

Larry is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 28 years, Anita Kay (Benton) Quada; his daughter, who he cherished, Brandy Lynn Quada; his precious grandchildren, Troy Jones, River Parrott, Courtney Parrott, Hope Quada, Madeline Thomson and Elizabeth Parrott. He is also survived by cousins, who were very special to him, David Quada and his wife, Loxie, Geneva Nixon and her husband, Randy, Alice Haygood and her husband, Gary; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. Larry proudly served his country as a member of the Special Forces in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a God fearing man, a hard worker, always giving to others, no matter their need. He lovingly raised his girls on his own until he married Anita. He loved race cars, bull riding, classic country music, a good laugh and spending time with friends, but his true passion in life was his family, especially Anita and Brandy.

People were drawn to Larry and he meant so much to so many. His life was well lived, he was well loved and he will be deeply missed by all who were blessed with his friendship. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 6-8pm at Meadowbrook Funeral Home, Marshall, Texas.

Graveside services with Military and Patriot Guard Honors will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11:00am at Zion Hill Cemetery in Linden, Texas with Bro. Terry Schmigel officiating. Online condolences may be offered at www.
