Obituary for Thelma Lee Ward Thelma Lee (Pilgrim) Ward, age 100, passed away at her home in Marshall on June 30, 2018. She was born in Coesfield, Texas on June 5, 1918 to Roland Thomas and Hettie Pilgrim and had recently celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by her family and friends. Thelma is preceded in death by her beloved husband, M. B. Ward; her parents, Roland Thomas and Hettie (Ivy) Pilgrim; her son, Norman Ward; her daughter, Pat Richter; her grand-daughter, Paula Schuetz and her sister, Pete Evans.

She is survived by her grand-daughters, Kim Shoults and Lisa Ward (Doc Ezell); her grandchildren, Erin Marino (Jack), Krysta Coleman (Matt), Hunter Shoults (Stacia), Brandon Schuetz (Kassandra), Katie Schuetz, Megan Schuetz; great-grandchildren, Cooper Shoults, Barrett Shoults, Drew Coleman, and Mackenzie Schuetz. She is also survived by many other family members and friends who were blessed by her life. Thelma collected dolls, loved watching the Texas Rangers, crocheting, and birdwatching, but her true passion was the time she spent visiting with her cherished family.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Heart to Heart Hospice, Thelma’s sitters and caregivers, Janice Robinson, Marilyn Robinson, Michelle Evans, Yolanda George and her Hospice Nurse, Lori Smith for the love and care given to Thelma.
