It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lavonne Lyda Hope Stein, age 65 of Battle Creek, on Friday, April 20, 2018. Lavonne passed away from complications of aneurisms at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born January 10, 1953 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of the late Maynard Calvin and Phyllis Jean (Jacobs) Hope.

Lavonne is survived by her daughters: Melissa Stein and Jennifer Stein both of Battle Creek; two grandchildren: Alexis Stein and Trenton Downs both of Battle Creek; her boyfriend of 22 years, Terry Oberhauser of Battle Creek; one sister: Linda (Jim) Voss; two nieces; two great nieces and one great-nephew all of Versailles, Kentucky; and longtime friends: Rhonda and Jack Munger of Battle Creek. Lavonne retired from Maintenance Masters in 2015 where she had worked for over 18 years. She was a very kind hearted loving person who loved sewing and needle point and will be greatly missed.

A private graveside service was held at Burr Oak Cemetery in Athens, Michigan. Arrangements by the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. www.
