Lena Joy (Harrison) Boggs May 18, 1933 – May 28, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Funeral services for Lena Joy (Harrison) Boggs will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Shorter, Bethel Assembly of God, Lawton officiating. Burial will be in the Denton Cemetery, east of Lawton. The family will greet friends Friday evening, May 31, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lena Joy (Harrison) Boggs, 86, passed away at her home in Elgin, on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. She was born May 18, 1933, in Faxon, Oklahoma to W. A. (Buster) and Verry (Posey) Harrison. Graduating valedictorian of her class at Sterling High School, Sterling, OK in 1951, she married Fred Boggs later that May on her birthday.

She attended Bethel Assembly of God for 56 years where she was very active in every area but, especially, in children’s church, in visiting shut-ins, and in providing support for the church Bible Quiz team. Survivors include daughter Kathy Jones and husband Bruce of Comanche; son Thomas Boggs of Lawton; daughter Karen Taylor and husband JD of Duncan; 2 grandsons, Eric Taylor and TJ Jeffcoat; 2 granddaughters, Beverly Tate and Ginger Taylor; 6 great-grandchildren, Summer, Mariah, Bay Lee, Naomi, Hannah, and Malachi; and many nieces and nephews. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Buster and Verry Harrison; her husband, Fred Boggs; her brother, Keith Harrison; and a niece and nephew, Janet Brown and Donald Harrison.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to her church, Bethel Assembly of God, 1113 D Lawton, OK, 73501.
