Ninedorf Lawton will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Delbert Hughes, Lighthouse Church of God, Lawton officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

Doris K. Ninedorf, 76, Lawton passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was born November 11, 1942 in Primrose, Tennessee to Preston and Earthie Jane (Rodgers) Kelly. She married Richard Arthur Ninedorf on November 1, 1977 in Madison, Wisconsin.

He passed away April 7, 1980. After her husband passed away in an accident she devoted her life to raising her daughters. Doris loved to joke and laugh with people.

She loved to give people nick-names and often used that instead of their real name. She was a cancer survivor, having beat Leukemia, and also battling back from a stroke. She was tough and let nothing get her down.

She had many enjoyments, gardening, taking care of her yard, her flowers and having pride in her home. She loved all types of music, especially Elvis. She loved the color red and would not miss “The Price is Right”, often not answering the phone or talking to her girls during this time.

Many knew her as “Nanny” and she will surely be missed by her family and close friends. Doris was proud to be Baptized by Pastor Hughes in May of 2004. Survivors include her 4 girls; Janella Jenkins of Lawton, Mellissa Ford and husband Carey of San Antonio, Texas, Kristi Natario and Curtis Hopcus of Lawton, Angela Ninedorf of Lawton, 2 sisters; her twin Dorothy Lyle of Kingsland, Georgia, Linda Souter of Lawton, 2 brothers; Hobart Kelly and Prentice Ragsdale both of Lawton, 8 grandchildren; Christina Grooms of Lawton, Christian Jenkins of Lawton, Marissa Rankin of Lawton, Graylan Ninedorf of Lawton, Ashton Ninedorf of Lawton, Bryn Ford of San Antonio, Texas, Jayla Ninedorf of Lawton, Caden Hopcus of Lawton and a great grandchild, Caileigh Jenkins of Dallas, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Tina Marie Grooms, 2 brothers, Arnold Kelly, Junior Ragsdale and 2 sisters, Leoma Jones and Myrtle Eslinger. An account has been set up for memorial contributions at Fort Sill Federal Credit Union in her name.
