Burial with full military honors will follow in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. 1SG (Retired) David Joseph Lukasik, Jr. was born June 30, 1971 in Dunkirk, New York to David Joseph Lukasik, Sr. and Debra Ann Lukasik.

Dave passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 in Lawton at the age of 47. He grew up in Dunkirk and was a graduate of Dunkirk High School. He married Annette Flores on September 15, 1990 in El Paso, Texas.

Dave enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduation from high school. He retired at Fort Sill on April 30, 2011. His awards include the Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge with Pistol Bar, Bronze Star Medal 2nd award, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal 3rd award, Army Achievement Medal 9th award, Valorous Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal 6th award, National Defense Service Medal with bronze service star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with star, Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon 3rd award, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon 2nd award, Kuwait Liberation Medal – Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, Driver and Mechanic Badge with Driver Track Vehicle Clasp and Driver Mechanic Badge with Driver Wheeled Vehicle Clasp.

Dave was working at the time of his death for Northrop Grumman as a Senior Technical Trainer. Dave was always busy. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cameron University, was a musician, golfer, gardener, carpenter and brewed his own beer and wine.

He was a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan. He is survived by his wife, Annette, of the home; his daughter, Taylor Paige Lukasik, Lawton; his mother, Debra A. Messere, Dunkirk, New York; his sister, Heidi Farkas, Beulah, Michigan; his mother-in-law, Cristina Roybal, El Paso, Texas; four brothers-in-law, Christopher Urbina, Randy Urbina, Edward Flores and Raul Flores, Jr., all of El Paso, Texas; his sister-in-law, Bernice Flores, El Paso, Texas; nieces and nephew, Katie Urbina, El Paso, Texas, Zac Paris, Verona, Wisconsin and Abigail Farkas, Beulah, Michigan; as well as numerous other relatives. His father, David Joseph Lukasik, Sr., and his father-in-law, Raul Flores, Sr., preceded him in death.
