Obituary for Leonard Samuel Graden Leonard Samuel Graden, 96, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Auburn Creek Assisted Living. He was born September 24, 1922 in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri to Samuel L. and Mary L. Oberbeck Graden. He and Lillian Laura Maevers were married September 2, 1948 at Cape Girardeau.

She preceded him in death on November 20, 2011. He worked at Superior Electric Products for 36 years. He then worked at Medical Arts Pharmacy for 11 years.

He loved gardening, spending time outdoors, and watching Cardinal baseball. He was a longtime member of Christ Evangelical Church, where he met Lillian in Confirmation class in 1936. He served on the church council and the Diaconate.

Survivors include his one son, Larry (Suzanne) Graden of Myrtle Beach, SC; one daughter, Judy (Randy) McLain of Cape Girardeau; one grandson, Jeremy (Nicole) Graden; two granddaughters, Heather (Anne Marciniak) Graden and Katie (Kevin) Zimmer; and five great-grandchildren, Avery and Leah Graden and Laura, Michael, and Georgia Zimmer. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother, Leo Graden; and one grandson, Colin McLain. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Ford & Sons Mt.

Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Monday, January 14, 2019 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau with the Pastor Dan Johnson officiating.

Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau. Memorial contributions may be given to Salem Cemetery Fund, 37 South Ellis Street, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703. Online condolences may be made at www.
