Linda McDougald September 12, 1933 – March 13, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Graveside services for Linda McDougald, 85, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Brother Darryl Bennett officiating. Mrs. McDougald was born September 12, 1933 in Huntington, Texas to the late Ruth (Smithheart) and Henry Cook, and died Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in a local hospice facility. Mrs. McDougald had resided in Lufkin for 18 years and was a homemaker.

She was an avid antique collector and dealer. She loved flowers, especially orchids. Linda was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Mrs. McDougald was a member of First Christian Church. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, James McDougald of Lufkin; granddaughter, Jessie Weaver of Lufkin; grandson, Jimmie Weaver of Texas; sister, Janice Wheeler and husband Carlton of Deer Park; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Weaver; granddaughter, Elizabeth Weaver; and niece, Denise Beard.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday evening at Carroway Funeral Home. Memories and condolences may be added at www. carrowayfuneralhome.com.
