Lonnie’s Obituary Lonnie Joe Miller, 85, of Wichita Falls passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Joe was born October 1, 1933 in Hawley, TX to Louis Jonas Miller and Artie Mae (Hunt) Miller. He was a graduate of Holliday High School. Joe married his high school sweetheart, Lavina Rhea Parker on August 4, 1951.

Joe started out working in the oilfield for Bob Chesser, then at the Fina refinery until it closed. He then opened his service station, “Miller’s Exxon” and had a long and successful run with it. He then went to work for Perkins Prothro until his retirement.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jimmy. He is survived by his wife, Lavina; sister, Nancye Barela; children, Bobby Joe Miller and wife Connie, Machele Humphrey and husband Casey, Melissa Lowder and husband Reggie and Donald Jay Miller and wife Stacy; seven grandchildren, Maegan Jackson, Ashley Bates, Shaun Humphrey, Russ Lowder, Kevin Lowder, Stacia Whitworth and Jennifer Flinn; also ten great grandchildren. For those desiring, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd.
