Lonnie’s Obituary Lonnie Ebersole, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 11th at his home in Hampden Township, with his family by his side. Lonnie was born April 19th 1955, the son of Clyde and the late Jeanette Ebersole. He graduated from Central Dauphin High School, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Thomas Jefferson University, where he earned a Masters in Clinical Microbiology.

He then became Supervisor of Microbiology at Holy Spirit Hospital, a position he held for 24 years. For the last 14 years, he has been the Administrative Director of CPAL in York PA. Because of his compassionate nature, he was regarded as a fair and approachable boss and was respected by everyone who knew him.

Lonnie received many awards during his professional career and was a black belt in Isshinryu Karate. He was an avid Phillies fan and loyal to the New York Jets as well. However, he was most proud of his children and their academic and athletic achievements, spending many hours at soccer and softball tournaments supporting them.

Over the years, he developed many close friendships with the parents that last to this day. Lonnie is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kendra (Kennedy) Ebersole; his father Clyde Ebersole of Linglestown; his brother Jeffrey (Susan) of Las Vegas; his children Nicholas Ebersole (Lauren) of Stewartstown, and Brittany Anderson (Tim) of Camp Hill; and a granddaughter, Abigail Ebersole. All services will be private and at the discretion of the family, however, a celebration of his life will be held in the spring at a date to be determined.

Lonnie was a keen animal lover, so if you choose to honor him, donations may be sent to Speranza Animal Rescue (www. speranzarescue.org/ways-to-help) or the animal shelter of your choosing. Lonnie was an exceptional human being.

He will be greatly missed.
