Philip’s Obituary Philip Lloyd Zinn, 79, of Dillsburg, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019, at his home. He was born March 25, 1940, in Hanover the son of the late Lloyd M. and Helen G. (Markle) Zinn. Phil was a graduate of Northern High School Class of 1958.

After graduation he served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a 50 year member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union Local #520 and retired from Johnson Controls. He previously worked as a farm manager for K & Z Chicken Farm in Dillsburg.

Phil was a 50 year member of the West Shore Eureka Lodge #302, Zembo Shrine, York County Shrine Club, South Mountain V.F.W Post #6771, Dillsburg American Legion Post #26, and the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Franklintown. He loved flower gardening, fishing, wood working/carving, and general tinkering around the house. He also loved going to his cabin in Delaware, watching his grandson’s play sports, and his dogs.

Phil is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jane Lois (Kinter) Zinn; his son, Kevin A. Zinn (Dawn) of Dillsburg; his two grandsons, Zachary L. and Sean D. Zinn; and his sister, Judy Shumaker (Jed) of Dillsburg. Services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 1:00 pm in Christ Lutheran Church, 15 South Filey’s Rd. , Dillsburg.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the church with Masonic services immediately following the visitation. Burial will be held in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road. Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 125, Franklintown, PA 17323 or Christ Lutheran Church, 15 S. Filey’s Rd.
