Obituary for Mr. Lorell Henry Angelety Jr. Major Lorell Henry Angeley, Jr, (Retired) age 55 of Frederick unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born April, 9, 1963 in Frederick, MD. He was the youngest son of Lorell and Emilie Angelety of Frederick.
He was the husband of Simone Jenkins Angelety for 9 years. Lorell was a 1982 graduate of Frederick High School, 1990 graduate of Coppin State University, and received his graduate degree in criminal justice from Andrew Jackson University. After graduation from high school, he entered the United States Army in 1985 assigned to the Military Police Division.
After being stationed at numerous bases around the world, including 3 tours in the Middle East, he retired from military service in 2010. He continued to work as a civilian contractor at Fort Detrick until his death. He could be found enjoying life as a member of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club, with his brothers of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and with numerous friends.
He also enjoyed fishing whenever the fish were biting and going to the gun range with his nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by: his daughter, Lauren Marie of Baltimore; his two sisters Felacita (Cita) Angelety-King and Scheherazade (Sherry) Angelety – Haydel; two brothers-in law, Dwayne and Tyrone Jenkins; nephews, Louis (Jay) and Tyler King, Elton and Alexander Haydel, Dwayne II, Tyrone Jr, and Jaylen Jenkins; nieces, Taylor Paige Haydel, Khadijah and Kyleijh Jenkins; mother-in-law, Frances Jenkins; great-nieces Ayla and Gia Womack and a host of cousins and friends. Lorell was proceeded in death by: his grandparents, Charles and Amanda Pearl Bowins, Henry and Olga Angelety; and brother-n-law, Louis Herman King III.
The memorial service will be held at Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church, Frederick MD at 11:00 am, May 10, 2018. The family will receive visitors at 10:00. Interment will be delayed due to Lorell’s wish to be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
