Lorraine M. Muise, 85, of Gloucester, wife of the late Robert L. Muise passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Gloucester on August 10, 1932, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Silva) Vidal. Lorraine was a devoted, caring mother to four children.

She worked as a telephone operator for Dutton’s answering service and later worked for many years as a head waitress at the Easterly Restaurant, a job she truly loved. She enjoyed many adventures with her husband, family, and friend’s creek side at Good Harbor Beach and in the White Mountains of N.H. The Gloucester Skippers Square Dancing Group, along with the Cape Ann Bowling League were hobbies relished with life-long friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Christine Porper and her husband Richard of Gloucester and Sandra Muise of Maine; her son, Timothy Muise of Dorchester; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Porper of Winthrop, Richard “BJ” Porper Jr. of Gloucester, Matthew Muise of Dalton, MA, Jennifer Muise of Peabody, twins, Sarah Muise of Connecticut, Lauren Muise of Gloucester and Samantha Muise and Michaela White of Gloucester; two great-grandchildren, Aaron and Preston Dickerson of Gloucester; along with many adored nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Robert Muise; grandsons, Timothy Muise, and David Muise; sister, Emma Williams and her husband Alden; brother, Francis Vidal and his wife Joan. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral services.
