Scott R. Melle, 55, of Danvers, MA passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 in the comfort of his home among friends and loving caregivers. He was born in Gloucester on February 13, 1963, son of the late Francis and Dorothy (Lewis) Melle. Scott was a member of the Bass River Day program in Beverly for many years and had many friends and acquaintances there.

Scott was an easy going, warm-hearted person who was loved by family and friends. He enjoyed listening to jazz swing music as he was influenced by his father’s love of jazz and musicianship as a flugelhorn player. Scott was particularly fond on swiss rolls!

He will be greatly missed by his group home family. He is survived by his aunt, Frances V. (Melle) Salvio; cousins, Justin Salvio, Regina Salvio, Angela Passaretti, Gina Passaretti, Thomas Passaretti, Donald Braga and Beverly Braga Oliver and his uncle-in-law, Arthur Passaretti. His funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.

A visitation will be held prior to the Mass on Friday in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name by personal check to Bass River, Inc., 437 Es St., Beverly, MA 01915. For online condolences, please visit www.
