Stephen Fredricksen Davis, 88, of Rockport, life-long resident and 6th generation of Cape Ann, husband of Judith Wight Davis passed away peacefully on Friday evening, July 20, 2018 at the Den Mar Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Gloucester on November 22, 1929, son of the late A. Colby and Ida (Fredricksen) Davis. Stephen was a graduate of Gloucester High School and later attended Mass Maritime.

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Stephen was employed for over 20 years as an engineer at Varian. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Judith Davis; his daughter, Jill Davis; son, Sven Davis all of Rockport; grandsons, Jacob Silverman of Rockport, Zachary Silverman of Hanover, NH, MCPO USN Retired, Ian Weller and his wife Melissa of Jacksonville, FL; great-grandchildren, Rhys and Lillian Weller of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Frank Davis; sister, Christina Corliss-Rourke and many nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Cape Ann Animal Aid Association, 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930.
