Ann M. Vasil, 54, of Sandown, NH formerly of Swanville, ME, wife of Joey Vasil passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. She was born in Gloucester, MA on December 17, 1963, daughter of Marjorie “Margie” (Hale) Abell and Edward “Ned” Abell of Gloucester. Ann was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1981 and later attended North Shore Community College.

She worked for several years at Salemhaven Nursing Home as their Payroll Administrator. She genuinely loved her job and her coworkers, and always knew how to make someone laugh. Ann was happiest when traveling with her husband or sharing dinner with family and friends.

She loved quilting, all New England sports teams, the entire musical catalog of John Mayer and Ed Sheeran, and especially adored shopping with her two daughters. She had an extraordinary sense of humor and an infectious smile. Even when faced with her final, most serious challenge she continued to make those around her laugh.

Ann loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 32 years, Joey Vasil of Sandown, NH; her daughters, Erin Goldstein and her husband Noah of Hingham, MA, Megan Vasil and her boyfriend Jordan Donovan of Atkinson, NH; her sister, Pamela Skofield and her husband Duane of Plaistow, NH; her brother, Edward Abell and his wife Shilo of Gloucester, MA; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral service will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. A reception will follow at The Elks at Bass Rocks from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. A visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. The burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society online at www.
