Anne M. (Simon) Carrasco, 87, of Gloucester, wife of the late Albert R. Carrasco passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Gloucester Healthcare. She was born in Gloucester on July 16, 1931, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Moses) Simon. She married Al on his birthday and they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage.

They had an unbreakable and loving bond. Anne was a graduate of St. Ann’s School and later attended Burdett College and North Shore Community College. Anne began her career as a bookkeeper at O’Donnell Usen and Cape Ann Glass.

For the last several decades, she was the bookkeeper for Al’s Glass, and spent a few years working at Walmart. Anne was an avid reader, bowler and enjoyed several years of square dancing with the Gloucester Skippers, with whom many long-time friendships were made. She was a member of the Lebanese Maronite Society.

In later years, Anne and Al traveled to Florida, where they enjoyed winters in the sunshine. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family. She was one of 8 siblings, and looked forward to countless family cookouts and cherished time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by daughters, Joanne Levesque and her husband Robert of Salisbury, MA, Frances Tower and her husband Richard of Middleton, Linda Rugato and her husband David of Lynnfield; grandchildren, Heather, Marissa and Kristen Levesque, Tanya Archer and her husband Ray, Nicole Tower, Carl and Alex Rugato; great-grandson, Jack; sister and best friend, Cecelia “Cissy” Selig of Gloucester; brothers, David Simon, Edward Simon and his wife Dorothy all of Gloucester; and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Sally Unis; brothers, Earl “Bonnie”, Thomas and Joseph Simon. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In keeping with her wishes, services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Alzheimer’s Association of Eastern Massachusetts, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester.
