Marjorie A. (D’Allessandro) Pallazola, 89, of Gloucester, wife of the late Jerome Pallazola, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Addison Gilbert Hospital, surrounded by her beloved family. Marjorie was born in Lynn, MA on January 16, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Nicola and Lillian (Mattarocchia) D’Allessandro. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School, class of 1947.

She had a life filled with love and blessings. She and her husband owned and operated Charlie’s Muffin Shop on Washington Street for many years. She loved the warm sunshine on her face and enjoyed spending time outdoors.

Marjorie waitressed at several different restaurants over the years. All of her children and grandchildren’s friends loved coming over to her house, where she was a mom and nana to all. Her door was always open.

Marjorie was a member of the American Legion Color Guard here in Gloucester. Her family was her strength. She loved being around them and had a very special place in her heart for every one of them.

In her later years she enjoyed rides to the boulevard with her daughters. She had a great sense of humor, a quick wit and a lively personality. He family and friends will miss her very much.

She is survived by her children, Joseph J. Pallazola and his wife Marian, Lillian Elwell and Maria Glidden; grandchildren, Jill Suprenant and her husband Jeffrey, Michael Pallazola and his wife Laura Johnson, David Elwell, a Gloucester Firefighter, Haley and Jesse Glidden, Alejandro Franco, Amanda and Jeremy White; great grandchildren, Samantha, Emily and Madeline Suprenant, Max Johnson-Pallazola; her in-laws Josie Palazzola, George and Gaye Lumbruno and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Vinnie Pallazola, three sisters, Virginia Parisi, Marie D’Allesandro and Norma Holmes and one brother, Nick D’Allesandro. The family would like to thank Seacoast Nursing Home for their care and special friendships that were made during our mother’s time here.

Visiting hours in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester, will be on Saturday, November 24 from 9-11 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited. A service will follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Her burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery immediately following.
