Ann C. “Nancy” (DiModica) Conigliari, 86, of Rockport, wife of the late Victor V. Conigliari Jr., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Cambridge, MA on June 22, 1932, daughter of the late Michael and Annie (Kerr) DiModica. Nancy was raised in Wayland and was a graduate of Wayland High School class of 1950.

She participated in any business management activity that was offered hoping to have a career in office management. She worked for many years as an office manager for Austin Industries in Marlboro before meeting her future husband Vic on a vacation to Long Beach in Rockport. After getting married and moving to Rockport she was focused full time on raising her family.

She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren who truly kept her entertained by attending all of their sporting and school events. She was an avid knitter and crafter who enjoyed working craft fairs throughout the North Shore area. She loved gardening and took pride in her vegetable and flower gardens.

She loved the beach and many of her fondest memories were from spending summers with her family at Old Garden Beach. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed book swapping with family members and discussing the themes of books everyone was reading. She always loved music and to dance and she and Vic were always the last on the dance floor at any dance or event they went to.

She loved cooking and entertaining and looked forward to the next holiday or event when she could host family and friends. She was an active member of the St. Joachim’s Church guild. Nancy and Vic also loved travelling to Ireland, Arizona, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire and the Cape.

They especially enjoyed wintering in Florida where they could be with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Mitchell and her husband Paul of Gloucester; her son, Anthony “Tony” Conigliari and his wife Jennifer of Gloucester; 5 grandsons, Victor V. Conigliaro IV, Nicholas Conigliaro, Tyler Conigliari, Michael Burbank Jr. and Adam Conigliari; her sister, Patricia Hayes of Sudbury; her brother, Michael DiModica and his wife Kathryn of Sudbury; daughter-in-law, Dianne Conigliaro of Port Charlotte, FL; nieces and nephews, Patsy, Peggy, Kathy, Michael, Bobby, Michael, Tom, Theresa, Jim, Mark, Dean and Diane and many cousins.

She was predeceased by her son, Victor V. Conigliaro III; sister, Margaret Angelosanto and her husband Joseph; sister-in-law, Loretta Leahy and her husband Pete and brother-in-law, Robert Hayes. Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Joachim’s Church, Rockport on Tuesday, November 27, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There will be no visiting hours and the burial will be held privately.
