Johnni Daniel Bodoni, 71, of Gloucester, husband of the late Linda Louise (Pantaleo) Bodoni passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 27, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Schwabach, Germany on December 8, 1946 son of Ida Inge (Harre) Bodoni of Gloucester and the late Salvatore John Bodoni. Johnni came to the United States in 1947 from Germany and lived in Gloucester his whole life.

At a young age he opted to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. While in training he met and married the love of this life, Linda in Long Island, NY in 1967. He was employed as an auto mechanic, then worked in various positions for DV Die Cutting Company in Danvers for many years and later worked for Cablevision/Comcast in customer service until his retirement.

Johnni, in his spare time enjoyed fishing, model making and auto racing. He is survived by his daughters, Christina Bodoni, Angela (Bodoni) Spivack and her husband Lee; his son, Christopher Bodoni and his wife Courtney. In addition, he is survived by sisters, Ursula Eastman, Linda Johnson and her husband Bob, Patricia White and Cynthia Miller and her husband Tom; brother, Philip Bodoni and his wife Kathy and brother-in-law, Anthony Pantaleo.

He will be sorely missed by grandchildren, Samantha, Peter, Christian, Matthew, Adam, Steven, Caleb, Mariah and Anthony; and many nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances. He was predeceased by 2 brothers-in-law, Michael Eastman and Robert White. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in Dolliver Memorial Cemetery, West Gloucester.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Fish Box Derby, Inc. P.O. Box 162, Gloucester, MA 01930. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester.
