Hathaway On May 26, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer, our beautiful angel on earth, Louise Marie (Willett) Hathaway, 63, passed away at her home “The Nest” in Mountain View, NY. She was blessed to be surrounded by family including her husband and love of her life for the past 35 years, James “Jim” Hathaway. Born on October 25, 1954, she was the daughter of Mary Warner of Malone and the late Richard (Sadie) Willett of Glens Falls, NY.
She attended Malone schools and graduated from FA in 1973 with a certification in health services and child care. Louise worked her entire life at various stores throughout the area including Mr. Cakes Pizzeria, Dog n Suds, BJ’s Dress Factory, Tru-Stitch, Super Duper and Family Dollar. She later was able to obtain her CNA degree at NCCC while working for Care-Givers.
She continued her career at Franklin County Nursing Home until she retired from the Alice Center in May 2017. Sewing was Louise’s passion and quilting was her newly found hobby so she was frequently spotted at Joanne Fabrics. She loved to shower her friends and family with gifts of her amazing creations including her fudge during the holidays.
In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, playing bingo and enjoying lunch with her friends. She was a member of the Quilting Guild, Mount Tom Rec Club, NRA and the American Legion Auxiliary of Lake George. She was a very loving and devoted mother to her children and step-children, David (Stacie) Warner Jr. of Malone, Kelly (Bruce) Conto Jr. of Owls Head, Stacy (Jason) Cogan of Mountain View and the late James “Jamie” Hathaway.
Louise was looked up to as a big sister by her siblings, David (Deborah) Willett, Yvonne (Joe) Silver, Deborah Lloyd, Bobbie-Lynn (Garry) Siska, Robert Norton Jr., Scott (Barb) Fish, James Warner Jr., Keith (Laurie) Warner, Marc (Stacey) Willett, Sharon Noreault, Barry Hathaway and the late Sheldon Willett. She had unconditional love for all her grandchildren, Danielle, Jimmy, Nicolas, Emma, Timithy, Natalie, Anthony and Bryleigh. The bond she shared with each of them is undeniable.

Louise was self-less, always thought of others before worrying about herself and was a blessing to everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a very special woman with an amazing talent and always willing to lend a hand.
