Lynn Allen Livesey July 12th, 1934 – January 27th, 2019 Lynn Allen Livesey passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday morning, January 27th, 2019. He was born July 12th, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John Henry and Blanche LaVerne Parry Livesey. Lynn joined the army in 1956 and was stationed in California, New Jersey and Germany.

He enjoyed playing the drums in the Drum & Bugle Corp until his honorable discharge in 1959. He later married Louanne Carruth on March 17th, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Syracuse and had seven children.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an active member until his health prevented him from attending. He served as a clerk on a ward and stake level, was involved with stake young men’s activities and played church basketball and softball. He worked with his friend, Leonard, for a few years making and selling arrows for their business “Sherwood Archery” where their motto was “Where you get the arrow, not the shaft!

” They also spent many hours together building an air boat which they christened “Webfoot”. He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 35 years. After retiring, he finally got bored and went to work at Shopko driving the inter-store truck, which he loved doing.

Lynn loved hunting, camping and fishing with his friends and family and was well admired for his beautiful vegetable gardens. He loved animals and had many hunting dogs over the years, mostly named Fritz or Duke. Lynn was quiet, kind, loyal and strong.

He is survived by his wife, Louanne; and his children; David, Annette, Mark (Tamera), Steven (Rosemary), Andrea (Robert) Edwards, and Allison; his sister, Norma Whytock (Wayne). He has 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Penny; first born son, Richard; and daughter-in-law, Rosemary.

Many thanks to the nurses, aides and staff at Rocky Mountain Care Center who kindly took such good care of him for the few months he spent there. Funeral Services will be held at the Syracuse South Stake Center (3065 South Bluff Road, Syracuse, Utah, 84075) on Friday February 1, 2019 at 11am. The family will meet with friends Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm at the Syracuse South Stake Center and on Friday from 10am to 10:45am.

Interment will be at Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th St, Ogden, Utah.
