Obituary for Margaret E. Lewellyn Margaret E. Lewellyn, 89, of Hordville, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Litzenberg Memorial Long Term Care in Central City. A family graveside service will be held in Edgar at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.

soltwagnerfuneral.com. Margaret was born November 30, 1928 on a farm outside of Edgar, Clay County, NE to Myrtle (Shaw) and Oliver E. Johnson. She was raised by her grandparents, Lewis and Maud Shaw after her mother passed away when she was three months old.

She attended school at East Buffalo and Edgar High School. Margaret mostly worked in the food industry but was most known for owning and running the Dairy Cone in Harvard, where she lived for 32 years before moving to Lawrence and then Hordville. Margaret married Cleo L. Vickrey in 1944.

She had five children, Marlyn, Diana, Dixie, Richard “Skip”, and Ronald. Margaret later married Ralph R. Lewellyn of Hastings, NE. She attended the Christian Church in Edgar.

Margaret is survived by daughters, Marlyn (Jody) Krous of Burlington, NC, Diana J. Johnson of Harvard, Dixie L. Pierce Lovejoy of Hordville; son, Ronald D. Lewellyn of Aurora; sister LaVon Rienke of Hebron; 27 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; son, Richard “Skip” Lewellyn; grandson, William “Billy” Lewellyn; son-in-law, Ed Lovejoy; sisters, Jenny Moulton and Donna Bauman; and brother, Dwayne Johnson.
