Obituary for MARGARET SIPPOLA (Paris) Margaret Josephine Sippola, 97, of Negaunee, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, July 5, 2018 at the Eastwood Nursing Center. Margaret was born April 26, 1921 in Austin, MI to Basilo and Theresa Paris. She moved to Negaunee as a young girl and attended Negaunee St. Paul School.

Margaret worked for 24 years as a seamstress at the H.W. Gossard Company. Mrs. Sippola was member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Negaunee and was a charter member of the Negaunee Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed yardwork and gardening, watching game shows, playing cribbage in the Negaunee cribbage league and taking an occasional trip to the casino.

Margaret also loved traveling west with her husband, visiting friends and family along the way. Surviving are her daughter, Carol (Peter) Farm of Negaunee; a son, Dennis (Pat) Sippola of Ishpeming Township; 3 grandchildren: Julie Sippola of Ashville, NC, Jeff Sippola of Minneapolis and Scott Sippola of Marquette; and a sister, Madeline Kauppila. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Oliver ‘Sully’ Sippola on December 14, 2002; and 2 sisters, Cecilia Jafolla and Vera Brisson.
