Maria M. Andreas 92, of Nazareth, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday April 15, 2018 at Gracedale Nursing Home, in Nazareth, PA. Maria M. Andreas was born in Millsap, TX a daughter of the late Ignacio and Isabel Gutierrez (Medellin). Maria was a graduate of Easton High School the class of 1944 and she also attended churchman’s school.

She worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Surprised Store, until retiring in 1982. Maria was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians church in Allentown, where she worked as a volunteer in the school cafeteria. She also volunteered to make pierogies and baked goods for the many fundraisers for the church.

Maria was also a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, in Easton. Maria is survived by her step sons Joseph Andreas JR. , of Allentown, Edward Andreas (deceased) and his wife Dorie, of Allentown, a sister Isabel Reighn and her husband Charles, of Nazareth; 3 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, and 33 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Maria is preceded in death by her husband Joseph W. Andreas, sister Carmen Huxel, brothers Louis, Carlos, Ignacio, Frank, and Joseph Medellin. Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Cedarville Road, Williams Twp. , PA.
