Martha Plemmons, age 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Autumn Care in Marion. Martha, a native of Marion, was born on April 3, 1928 to the late John Plemmons and Pricilla Fortner Plemmons. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Selma Smith and Laura Moore, and a brother Rev.

J.D. Plemmons. Martha was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her beautiful singing, which she loved to do.

She sang at Chapel Hill Baptist Church and would be found singing in the halls at Autumn Care. Martha was a happy person who enjoyed her life. She had a deep love for her family and her dogs.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Emily Plemmons and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Bruce Ward officiating.
