Gilbert – Funeral Services for Martha M. Taylor will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Pond Branch UMC with interment to follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Mrs. Taylor passed away May 5, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.

She was a loving mother, devoted wife and sister, and “memaw” to many who knew her. She was an active member of Pond Branch United Methodist Church and served many years as a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Silver Society at PBUMC, the Young at Heart at St. David’s Lutheran Church, The Biddies and WIRE.

Mrs. Taylor retired from Southern Bell. Memorials may be made to Pond Branch UMC. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughters, Alene Amick (Tony), Lisa Corley (Kregg), Michele Roland (Kenny); sisters, Jeanette Frye and Carolyn Martin; sister-in-law Mary Taylor; grandchildren, Brandon Amick and Brent Amick (Nicole), James and Macy Hunt, Jordan and Addison Corley, Madeline Roland, Levi Roland (Abby); and great-grandchildren, Mason and Lily Shepard, and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald R. Taylor.
