Obituary for Martin Hernandez-Mendez Beloved husband, devoted father, cherished son, brother and friend of many, Martin Hernandez-Mendez, age 44, passed away in Longview, Texas on Friday, January 4, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 17, 1974 in Mexico to Ramon and Adela (Mendez Hernandez). He is preceded in death by his father, Ramon Hernandez; his grandparents, David Hernandez and Ester Hernandez and his nephew, Jaime Garcia.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Hernandez-Martinez; his sons, Rene Martin Hernandez, Eddie Valentin Hernandez, Angel Hernandez, Alfonso Hernandez and Romeo Hernandez; his mother, Adela Hernandez Posada; his brothers and sisters, Isidra Hernandez, Ramon Hernandez, Ester Hernandez, Eddie Hernandez, Maria de la Luz Hernandez, Macedonio Hernandez, Adela Hernandez, Maria Hernandez; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Martin loved the outdoors, farming, growing corn, hunting and dancing, but his true passion in life was his wife, his children and his family who he adored. He left many memories that will be cherished by all who knew and loved him and he will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 6-8pm with Rosary being held at 7:00pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 2:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Roselio Fuentes officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ramon Hernandez, Macedonio Hernandez, Eddie Hernandez, Procopio Hernandez, Juan Ramirez and Carlos Hernandez.
