Mary Ann Nunamaker, age 89, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 3:59am at the Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky. Mary was born on February 23, 1929 in Freedom, Pennsylvania to Lloyd and Orpha (Stewart) Pinkerton, both of whom are deceased. She is survived by her 4 sons: Charles Lloyd Nunamaker of Findlay, Thomas Michael (Oma) Nunamaker of Katy, Texas, James Stewart Nunamaker of Upper Sandusky, and Robert Scott Nunamaker of Grandview Heights.

3 grandchildren: Christopher Nunamaker of Houston, Texas, Amanda and Sarah Nunamaker, both of Katy, Texas, along with a brother, James (Nancy) Pinkerton of Melbourne, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Robert P., and a sister, Lois Buckley. Mary was a homemaker and worked as an LPN at Marion General Hospital for many years.

She had attended Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky, and for hobbies she enjoyed following through the years, the Penn State and the Pittsburgh Steelers football teams. Mary will be remembered for her passion for caregiving in her nursing profession, and for her love of animals. Funeral services for Mary Ann Nunamaker will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

Visitations will be held from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Sunday, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. Memorial contributions may be made to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
