Mrs. Gay was born August 22, 1938 in Maud, Texas. She was a homemaker, Baptist and is preceded in death by her husband, James ‘Buddy’ Marcum.

Survivors include her husband, John Gay of New Boston, Texas, one daughter, Natasha M. Blackburn of Avery, Texas, two sons, Gary W. Marcum of Denton, Texas, Gregory W. Marcum of Houston, Texas, one brother, James Anderson of Maud, Texas, one sister, Jeannie Barry of Alachua, Florida, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston. There are no services scheduled.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Alliance.
