Mary’s Obituary Mary Martha Meyers Provost, 77, of New Iberia passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Wyatt Manor Nursing Home in Jonesboro, LA. She was born September 28, 1941 to the late Joseph Meyers Jr. and Rose Romero Meyers. A private service was held on February 16, 2019 to celebrate her life.

Mary was a cosmetologist in the New Iberia area for many years. She enjoyed baking, music and cherished spending time with family and friends. She always had a smile on her face and was very deep seated in her faith.

Her heart was one of giving and she gave to others unselfishly. She is survived by her sons Doyle (Jill) Provost and Van (Rachael) Provost; granddaughters Elise and Allyson Provost; grandsons Matthew Norton, Dillon McNeely and Van Provost Jr. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Meyers Jr. and Rose Romero Meyers; half-sisters Edith Meyers Barras; Eunice Meyers Eskind; and half-brother Lawrie Meyers. The family would like to give special thanks to Diane, Tammy and staff at Wyatt Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Inc.; Staff and Nurses at Winnfield Specialty Hospital; and Christi, Jennifer and Brother Butch at Legacy Hospice for making Mary’s last days ones of comfort and quality.
