Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00PM on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Powersville United Methodist Church, 195 Lakeview Road, Byron. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM with Dr. John Beck and Dr. Buddy Cooper officiating.

Burial will follow in Byron City Cemetery. Born in Macon to the late Leon and Mary Hays Hurdle, Ruthie was retired from Robins Air Force Base after 36 years of service. Her children considered her an “Amazing Mom”, and she loved to cook for them and going to the beach.

She was a life long member of Powersville United Methodist Church. Survivors include her children, Jesse Suggs of Jackson and Rachel Kinard (Wade) of Panama City, Florida; sister, Lynn Hurdle of Warner Robins; nephew, Tyler Hurdle of Warner Robins; her partner, Don Bryant and his children, Donald Bryant and Brook Bryant of Hawkinsville; and several cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o PUMC, 195 Lakeview Rd.
