Mary Ann Franzmeier, age 96, of Hot Springs, formerly of Fayetteville, died Monday, July 16, 2018. She was born on October 18, 1921 in Mount Pleasant, Texas, the daughter of Willie Green and Alma Miller Green. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Elmer Albert Franzmeier; her parents; one brother, Weldon Green; and one sister, Myra Hambley.

Mary was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fayetteville and a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she was active in Wyman Community activities. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Andrea Franzmeier of Fayetteville; her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Tommy Trantham of Royal; five grandchildren, Angie Trantham, Wendy and Shane Harris, Terri Trantham, Jeremy and Shannon Bright and Suzanne and Donny Kindt; seven great-grandchildren, Whit Janske, Alexi Alan Janske, Jonah Bright, Wylyn Harris, Charter Harris, Cooper Kindt and Porter Kindt; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Guest registry is at www.
