Obituary for Matthew Charles Vullo Matthew Charles “Matt” Vullo, 41, of Tidioute, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at his residence. Matt was born on November 15, 1975, in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of Charles J. Vullo of Jamestown, N.Y. and Roxiann (Jody) Durstine of Sugar Grove, PA. He graduated from Southwestern High School in 1994 following high school he graduated from Jamestown Community College.
Matt was an avid outdoorsman and he enjoyed hunting, golfing and kayaking. He loved music and enjoyed writing music, singing and playing his guitar. He was in a popular band known as “Squid”.
He especially enjoyed fishing and hiking with his kids and spending time with family and friends. He was always such a gentle person. Matt is survived by his wife, Angela “Ferrara” Vullo, whom he married on June 21, 2008 in Lakewood, NY ; by two sons: Chase and Vallon Vullo of Tidioute, P.A.; a daughter: Annabella Vullo of Tidioute, PA; a sister: Melissa (Jason R. Dorman) Vullo of Lakewood, N.Y.; a maternal grandmother: Dorothy Turner of Gerry, N.Y,; two step sisters: Bethany (Josh) Zellmar of Alaska and Taylor (Erin Domer) Durstine of Youngsville, PA; two step brothers: Erik (Miranda) Barnes of New Zealand and Chad (Danielle) Durstine of Youngsville, PA; two nephews: Xander and Dustin Dorman; a niece: Madison Dorman all of Lakewood, N.Y.; his mother and father in-law: Lisa and Nick Ferrara of Frewsburg, N.Y.; two brother – in – laws: Nicholas and Dylan Ferrara both of Frewsburg, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Matt is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Francis Turner and paternal grandparents: Charles J. and Mary Vullo. Family and friends may call at Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, 316 East Fifth Street, Jamestown, NY on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM.
The Rev. Piotr F. Zaczynski will officiate, pastor of Sacred Heart Church and Our Lady of the Snows Church. A memorial fund in memory of Matthew C. Vullo has been set up for his children and contributions may be made at any Northwest Savings Bank branch.
