Obituary for Maxine G. (Potts) Gingerich Maxine G. (Potts) Gingerich, 90, of York, PA, died peacefully at her residence with her family by her side on November 21, 2018. She was the wife of the late Philip G. Gingerich. Born May 26, 1928 in York, PA she was the daughter of the late James Potts and Pauline (Leber) Potts Garrett.

Maxine had a love for all people and enjoyed bingo, dancing and traveling. She was formerly employed as a Crossing Guard for the Springettsbury Township Police Department. Maxine is survived by a son, Michael Gingerich and his wife, Linda Pennington of Mechanicsburg, PA; three daughters, Lori Gingerich of York, PA, Carol Brenneman and her husband, Larry of Lancaster, PA and Jodi Snyder and her husband, Michael of York, PA; six grandchildren, Chad Brenneman, Matthew Gingerich, Kathryn Gingerich Urban, Danielle Pennington, Whitney Snyder Timcheck and Drew Snyder and seven great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Martin, Desmond, Miles, Caleb, Ethan and Brooke.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St. York, PA with Deacon Neil Crispo, officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at a later date.
