Mildred Louise Oats of Ovilla, Texas went to be with the Lord on September 25, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Celebration of life service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Driggers and Decker Family Funeral Home, 105 Vintage Dr. Red Oak, Texas 75154. Committal service will follow at Restland Cunningham Cemetery in Cunningham, Texas.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Driggers and Decker Family Funeral Home. Louise was born on May 09, 1928 in Rockford, Texas to Grady and Vada Gann. She was a devout Christian and her entire life was dedicated to serving the Lord.

Louise was a faithful member of Highland Meadows Assembly of God Church in Red Oak, Texas. Louise enjoyed sewing, quilting, traveling, shopping for the kids, attending bluegrass festivals and talking on the phone with both Lindas and Shirley. Louise was a simple woman who loved taking care of her family.

She never met a stranger and she was full of life and love. She will be missed by all who got the pleasure of meeting her. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Johnnie Gann.

She is survived by her husband of 71 ½ years, Galen Oats; son, Terry Oats; granddaughters, Jenifer Martin and Stefanie Daffron; grandson, John Oats; great- grandchildren, Narissa, Carlie, Kylie, Cody, McKenna and Hestian.
