Obituary for Milton Hugh Lloyd Milton Hugh Lloyd, 68, of Grifton, NC, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 16th, 2018. He was born November 21, 1949 to the late Charlotte Stokes Garris and Milton Jones Lloyd, Jr. Memorial service will be held on Monday, February 19th, 2018 at 11:00 AM at his home (3091 NC HWY 118, Grifton, NC 28530). Immediately following the service, the family will have lunch and receive friends at Elm Grove FWB Church Family Life Center (5403 Weyerhaeuser Road, Ayden, NC 28530) other time at the residence.

Milton was a native of Grifton, NC and attended Grifton High School and Mount Olive College. He also served in the United States Navy. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman that loved his family.

Milton was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Stokes Garris, his father, Milton Jones Lloyd, Jr., his step-father Bruce Garris, his sister Linda Lane Lloyd, and step-son Chuck Newby. He is survived by his loving wife Martha Mills Lloyd of the home as well as his faithful little companion, his brown-eyed little girl “Sassy”, his son Milton Brian Lloyd and daughter-in-law Shelley Lloyd of Simpson, his step-daughter Crystal Newby of the home, his sister Laura Bruce Weigum and her husband Greg Weigum and their two sons, Michael and Christopher Weigum, all of Grifton, a brother, Michael J. Lloyd of Grantsboro, and a special niece Lorin Stokes Butler of Macon, GA. Milton had many friends he enjoyed spending time with, including his best friends, Gary and Susan Wainwright.
