Mona’s Obituary Mona Wetzel, 53, of rural Slater, MO, died Friday, March 1, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to family choice and an online guestbook is available at www. campbell-lewis.com Born March 18, 1965 in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Clifton “Leon” Breshears and Judy Surber Breshears who survives of rural Marshall.

Mona lived in Saline County her entire life and was a 1983 graduate of Marshall High School. On November 19, 2004 she married Danny Joe Wetzel Jr. who survives of the home. Mona worked for many years as a waitress at Joan’s Drive Inn.

In addition to her husband, Danny; and her mother, Judy; she is survived by two daughters, Sammy Behrens of rural Slater and Chelsea Lopez (Ismael) of Marshall; three grandchildren: Alejandra, Gabriela, and Xavier; and one niece, Allie Sprague of Independence. Mona was preceded in death by her father, Leon; and her sister, Leonda “Sissy” Sprague.
