Obituary for Mrs. Nancy Ruth Pitts Hughes Nancy Ruth Pitts Hughes, 86, wife of the the late John W. Hughes,140 Tokeena Road, Seneca, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Seneca Health and Rehab. A native of Central, SC, Mrs. Hughes was the daughter of the late Abe and Addie Anderson Pitts. She worked for Phillips Fiber and Hampton Inn and was a member of Lydia Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hughes is survived by her son: Ricky David Powers (Virginia) of Seneca; daughter: Patricia Ann Goss (Chester) of Newry; brother: Charles Pitts (Rachel) of Atlanta, GA; sister: Edna Reese of Liberty; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her two sisters: Grace and Blanche; and five brothers: Ralph, Raymond, Junior, Tommy and David. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 30, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Courtenay Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted. The family is at their respective homes.
