Nora Bell Etters Nelson, age 84, widow of John Nelson, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 at her home. She was born in Whitmire, SC and was the daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Hattie Sufford Etters. She was retired from the Greenwood Mills and attended the Church of God of Prophecy.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by her two sons, Frankie Motes of Joanna and Clifton Motes of Wilmington, NC; her two daughters, Kathy Griffith of Laurens and Roxanne Gresham of Newberry; her two adopted children, Tasha Baker of Wilmington, NC and Shane Motes of Albemarle, NC; her step-son, James Nelson; her sixteen grandchildren, her eighteen great-grandchildren, and her eighteen great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Nelson is predeceased by her daughter, Darlene Overstreet; and her step-son, Buddy Nelson. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 at 3 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton with burial to take place at Rosemont Cemetery.
