Obituary for Nunzio “Joe” Ricottilli Nunzio “Joe” Ricottilli, lifelong resident of Beacon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at home at the age of 89. Nunzio was born on August 25, 1928 in Cliffside Park, NJ to the late Panfilo and Emily Ricottilli. On August 13, 1958 he married the late Suzanne Keenan at St. John’s Church in Beacon.

Nunzio proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He later retired with the Carpenter’s Union Local 323. Nunzio is a lifetime member of St. Rocco’s and a 50 Year member of Mase Hook & Ladder.

To know Nunzio was to love him. Nunzio had many interests including going to the race track and taking his annual trip to the Boxing Hall of Fame. Above all, Nunzio loved spending time with family and friends.

Nunzio is survived by his sister, Theresa “Dolly” Slinsky, his children, Gregory (Marilyn), Anthony, Suzette, Joseph (Wendy), Tara (Nick), and Thomas. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Tara, Reuben, Brooke, Erika, Krystal, Christina, Nicholas, Gregory, Hannah, Dominic, Joseph, Emily, Suzanne, Anthony and Mia along with 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his loving wife Suzanne, he was preceded in death by his brother Francis, and his sisters Sylvia Petterossi and Louise Conine.

“And That Ain’t No Sh*t” Memorial donations in Nunzio’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 7 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 Willow Street, Beacon.
