Obituary for Dr. Luis F. Villamon Dr. Luis F. Villamon passed away peacefully on August 26, 2018, following a long illness. He was born in Lima, Peru on August 3, 1938, to Dr. Froilan Villamon and Teresa Pro, the oldest of three children. Dr. Villamon followed in his father’s footsteps and attended medical school in Peru.

He moved to the United States in 1968 and enlisted in the Army. He served as an Army doctor in NYC during the Vietnam conflict before settling in Beacon, NY, where he married Barbara Fonteneou in 1980. Dr. Villamon served the Dutchess County area as an endocrinologist for over three decades, retiring in 2017.

Dr. Villamon is survived by his wife, Barbara Villamon; his son, Juan F. Villamon and wife Yonni Groza Villamon; his brother Juan and numerous nieces and nephews in Peru. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, September 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Patrick J. Halvey of Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, LLC.
