Obituary for Christopher R. Karnow Christopher R. Karnow, a current resident of Maplewood, New Jersey and former area resident, passed away on September 23, 2018. He was 59 years old. Chris was born on September 12, 1959 in Bronxville, the son of the late Milton and Patricia Powers Karnow.

He married the former Linda Gieseler on June 18, 1983. Linda survives at home. He was employed by Grandview Real Estate where he was a facility manager at The Top Condominiums in Maplewood, New Jersey.

Chris was a volunteer fire fighter for South Salem Fire Department and East Fishkill Fire Department. He was a light in many lives. He will be remembered for his sense of humor.

In addition to his wife, Chris is survived by his son, Greg Karnow and wife, Diana; his brothers, Gregory and Douglas Karnow; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Christopher was predeceased by his daughter, Sara Karnow in 2000. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 29 at 12 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon.

Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wappingers Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Chris may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Patrick J. Halvey of Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, LLC.
