Obituary for Patricia Ann Spalding Patricia Ann “Peggy” Spalding, 83, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Chateau Girardeau. She was born November 24, 1934 in Cape Girardeau to the late Clarence and LaVada (Harvell) Gosnell. Patricia married Edward G. “Bud” Spalding March 24, 1951 in Cape Girardeau.

They had been married for 67 years and they hardly ever left each other’s sides. Patricia filled her days as a homemaker and raising her three children. She loved to meet people and talking with them.

Patricia and Edward were known for their love and talent of dancing together. They won many dance contests. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 67 years and was also a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.

Loving survivors include her husband of 67 years, Edward “Bud” Spalding; three children, Jean Ann (Jack) Trickey, Edward G. Spalding Jr. (Kathleen) all of Cape Girardeau and Steven G. Spalding (Darlene) of Jackson, Missouri. She had a special place in her heart for her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Gosnell and mother, LaVada Vincent; an infant sister, Patsy Ruth Gosnell.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Revs.

Douglas Breite and Daniel Maske officiating. Entombment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran School.
