Patricia’s Obituary Patricia E. Swisher, 86, of Knob Noster, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 20, 2019. Patricia was born on April 19, 1932, in Celina, OH, the daughter of Edward Charles Heeter and Cleo Leona (Shuck) Heeter. She graduated from high school and married Francis L. “Duke” Swisher in 1949.

Along with raising a family, she was heavily involved with volunteer work and charities. She assisted at Western Missouri Medical Center and at the Whiteman AFB Chapel. Patricia spent time in Honduras doing missionary work with APUFRAM.

She received an award from the Missouri governor and the Archbishop for her generous charity work throughout her lifetime. She was also involved in the Boy Scouts and altar boys groups. In her free time, she enjoyed watching the Game Show Network (especially Family Feud).

She will be remembered as a mother not only to her own children, but to the children in her community and to those she served in volunteer work. Patricia is survived by her nine children: Robert (wife, Maria) Swisher, Gretchen Swisher, Charlotte (husband, Larry) Clos, Edward Swisher, Allen Swisher, Steven Swisher, Nicholas Swisher, Mark Swisher, and George (wife, Teri) Swisher; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 6 siblings who live in Dayton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband and four brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, January 28, at 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Warrensburg, with Father Joe Bathke and Deacon Joe LeMay officiating. Interment will follow the Mass at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jason Swisher, Patrick Clos, Allen Swisher, Keegan Swisher, Carson Swisher, and Robbie Cruz.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Swisher and George Swisher. A Rosary will be prayed on Sunday, January 27, at 7:00 p.m., at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. The visitation will follow until 9:00 p.m. Contributions are suggested to APUFRAM and checks may be left in care of the funeral home.
