Mrs. Patricia Orland Jones, 94, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis surrounded by family. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:30 am Friday, February 1, 2019, at First United Methodist Church. Rev.

Mike Goode will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 am Friday at First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Jones was born September 30, 1924 in New York, NY.

She was a daughter of the late Joseph Orland, Sr. and Zeta Scott Orland. She worked for Cannon Mills and then later at Belk Department Store, from where she retired. Mrs. Jones enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing off the Jolly Roger Pier at Topsail Island, dancing and bringing joy to everyone.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Orland. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Lee D. Jones; three children, Paula Mullinax and husband Mark, Patrick Jones and wife Rhonda and Eric Jones and wife Jenny, all of Kannapolis; one sister, Frances Milam of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, Lisa Jones, Heather Jones, Haley Moore, Makenzie Correll, Todd Haley and Tracy Roberson; three great grandchildren, Megan Roberson, Kendall Roberson and Zoey Moore. In lieu of flowers, per her and her family’s request, memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church, 110 W. Church Street, China Grove, NC 28023 or to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC, 28081.
