Paul A. Winkler Sr., 67, of North Port, FL, passed away on July 5, 2016. He was born on February 4, 1949 in Albany, NY to Bernard and Mary (Carpenter) Winkler. Paul graduated from Methacton High School in 1967.

He then served in the US Navy as a corpsman with the 1st Engineering Battalion, 1st Marine Division during the Vietnam War. He continued his career in helping others as an x-ray technician until his retirement from Fawcett Memorial Hospital as as interventional radiological technician. Paul was an avid fisherman and golfer.

He was a Republican, political commentator, story teller and mentor. He was a Phillies, Penn State and Florida State fan. Above all, he loved his family, many friends and his work.

Paul will be greatly missed. He is survived by children, Michele (Ben) Dumbrowsky, Paul Jr. and Carolyn Winkler; grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua and Jenna; brothers, Peter (Arlene) Winkler, John (Isabel) Winkler ans Thomas (Linda) Winkler; sisters, Diane (Ken) Russo and Mary Jane Winkler. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Mary Winkler and his brother, James (Colleen) Winkler.
