Paul Edward Cousins, 88, formerly of Dry Fork, Va. , passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Riverside Health & Rehab Center. He was born December 22, 1929, in Callands, Va.

to the late Lelia Mae Woodall Cousins and the late Paul Henry Cousins. He is survived by his wife, Joan Aileen Harville Cousins. Mr. Cousins proudly served his country with the US Army during the Koren War.

, and Joni Barker and husband, Dobie of Chatham, Va. ; his sons, Kevin Cousins of Danville, Va. , and Keith Cousins and wife, Lynne of Chatham; his grandchildren, Shannon Barker, Carrie Spiller, Erin Cash, and Tyler McCurry; and his great-grandson, Liam Cole Cash.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cousins was predeceased by his sisters, Frances Marlowe, Mary Ann Rigney, Hallie Merricks, and Annie Finney; as well as his brothers, Frank Cousins, George Cousins, Sr. and Harry Cousins. The family will receive friends from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, and at other times at Christy’s, 202 Grove Park Circle, Danville.

Following the visitation, funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel with Rev. Lynwood Cook officiating.

Interment will follow at the Swansonville UMC Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations to Swansonville UMC, 16492 Franklin Turnpike, Dry Fork, VA 24549. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. & Crematory, Mt.
