Phyllis Womack Keels, age 62, of 1564 Murray Cir. , Kinston, NC passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at her home. Born July 8, 1956, Mrs. Keels was the daughter of Helen Weatherford Mitchell and the late James Cooper.

She is also the step-daughter of Russell Mitchell. She was married to Scott Keels, who survives, of the residence. In addition to her father, Mrs. Keels was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Womack, and a nephew, Bryant Cooper. A visitation will be held for Mrs. Keels from 4-5:30 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services, Mt. Hermon Chapel, 3995 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, VA.
